Kurukshetra - The Battle of Brains, the international techno-management festival of the College of Engineering–Guindy, is returning in a bigger and better-than-ever avatar that promises to outshine its previous editions.
A note from the Kurukshetra 2012 team says that it one of the biggest technical extravaganzas of the country, and holds the distinction of being the first student-organised event to receive the prestigious UNESCO patronage.
With the launch of the Virtual Participation programme, the fifth edition of the festival in 2011 became the first technical festival in the country to allow students to participate virtually in the lecture series through video-conferencing.
Another milestone was the record-breaking origami exhibit which featured in the Limca Book of Records. Yet another feather in the cap of the organisers was the staggering online participation for Athena, which witnessed coders across 80 countries waging the virtual battle.
The sixth edition of Kurukshetra is scheduled to be held from Feb 1-4, 2012, based on the theme ‘Science & Technology for the Common Man’, says the note.
With its plethora of challenging events, stimulating workshops, thought-provoking guest lectures and exhilarating exhibitions, undoubtedly, it has all the earmarks of a grand success, add the organisers.
