Looks like actor Rajinikant is all set to play a warrior, saviour and king in 3D animation film ‘Kochadaiyaan’ before his pet project ‘Rana’ kicks off.
This film is also to be directed by his younger daughter Soundarya and has ace director K S Ravikumar penning the story, screenplay and dialogues. He will also oversee the direction.
‘Kochadaiyaan' uses hi-tech 3D and animation technology as in ‘Avatar' and ‘Tin Tin’. The film being produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment is scheduled for release in August 2012.
Ravikumar, who is also the director of ‘Rana', said: “We have completed just one song for ‘Rana’. All of us felt that ‘Kochadaiyaan’ should come ahead of ‘Rana’. Once we complete the 3D film, Rana will follow. “Even for this film, he will actually perform every scene. It will be inside a hi-tech studio, where we will record it using the motion capturing technique,” said Ravikumar. Once the actor's body language is captured for every scene, it would be assigned to the animation.
‘Kochadaiyaan’ is one of the names of the lord Shiva, and would be the name of the king character.
