Legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan would have been 84 on October 1, 2011 if he had been alive. It would have called for celebrations from family, friends and fans.
So what if he is not there in flesh and blood? His ardent fans, who have formed the ‘Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Samooga Nala Peravai’ in his memory, are celebrating his birth anniversary as they have been doing it all the years after his death.
They are distributing free meals to devotees who are going to turn up at Kapaleeswarar temple in Mylapore, Chennai, on October 1, Saturday.
The interesting bit is that another ardent admirer of Sivaji Ganesan, who co-starred with him in a movie, Y Gee Mahendra, will be the guest of honour who would launch the annadanam.
The function would be held in the presence of Chennai Corporation councillor M Velayudham and Sivaji Peravai state president K Chandrasekharan.
The annadanam event begins at 11.45 a.m.
