Sukku kashayam

Dry ginger

Patti Vaidhyam


Dry ginger (sukku) – 50 gms
Pepper - ¼ teaspoon
Jaggery - ¼ teaspoon
Water - 1 tumbler

Method

Powder dry ginger and pepper till they turn fine and put them in boiling water. Allow the mixture to boil for some time and add jaggery to it. Transfer the concoction into tumbler. Allow the sediments to settle down. Cool it and drink it slowly.

This magical drink is good for indigestion, vata, pitha and kapha. It also cures headaches and body aches. Sukku Kashayam has been handed down to us by our grandmothers.
