Kenaf Chutney

ü  Kenaf leaves – 1bunch.

ü  Dry chillies – 6 nos.

ü  Urad dhal – 25 gms.

ü  Aestofoetida – 1 small piece.

ü  Sesame Oil – 4 tbspoon

ü  Crystal Salt – required.

ü  Mustard – 1 tbspoon.

ü  Bengal gram – 25 gms.



Firstly rinse the Kenaf leaves,

Take a sauce pan and add six dry chillies and urad dhal till it turns golden brown.  Add cleansed kenaf with one small piece of aestofoetida ,saute it well for ten minutes.


Let the saute mixture cool down for five minutes and add into a blender with salt, water to make it into a paste.


Take a sauce pan add six tbspoon of Sesame oil, one tbspoon of mustard and twenty five grams of bengal gram and add some curry leaves to enhance it’s flavour.


After the frizzle, turn off the flame.  Now add the kenaf paste and stir it well.  Transfer it into a bowl and pair it with flavorsome curd rice. 




Kenaf chutney will make a ambrosial  taste for the creators too with its delicious aroma tempt us to go mad for the taste.  This savour happens due to aestofoetida in chutney.  The taste of kenaf chutney tickles our nerves but the flavour of the dry chillies makes it even more spicy and tastier.
