The first-ever pure wedding silk saree store ‘Varamahalakshmi’ saw a grand launch at Kancheepuram, Gandhi Road, by Governor K Rosaiah. Placed in a strategic location and with a heritage of more than 82 years, the shop is named the Goddess Varamahalakshmi - the boon-granting goddess and the embodiment of Ashtalakshmi.
As the name suggests, Varamahalakshmi is a temple of sarees. Varamahalakshmi brings exclusively created designer sarees at lowest prices, spread across 16,000 sq ft. The product range starts from Rs 799 to Rs 2 lakh.
Prasad Chalavadi, owner, Varamahalakshmi, said, “It’s a great pleasure and honour for us that His Excellency, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, Dr Konijeti Rosaiah, is launching the exclusive silk showroom. The name itself states that it’s a divine place and the products of which are so meticulously and pristinely designed, that will meet the standards of today’s woman. May it be Kancheepuram, uppadas, handlooms, Dharmavaram you can surely find a glimpse of heaven, a touch of goddess feel in every piece.’
The sarees are the work of in-house designers and talented weavers. Varmahalakshmi provides this exclusive collection at an unbeatable price as they own more than 1,000 handloom weaving machines - eliminating the middleman and serving the end consumers directly.
They issue a Silk Mark and purity certificate for the sarees.
