Social media boon or bane ?

The Internet provides a constant, ever-changing source of information and entertainment. Nowadays from young children to senior citizens were connected to only through the internet but when it exceeds in limits it results to the symptoms like addiction. Actually we are socializing more with the people through online than in person and this is called as internet dependency problem. When we use internet in a proper way then it is a great place for interact socially, meet the new people then finding out the old persons. The current scenario of each and every persons of the first and last thing they do is checking out the Email, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Messages and all other accounts. If we did not get the service we will panic as if we have got any serious disease. Facebook is the biggest social media and used by the most people in the world. It has 1.13 billion daily active users and if it represents a country, it will be the most populated country in the world. The census has clearly shown that people read only for 19 minutes and when we take in a day average they spend only 17 minutes for exercise or sports. In this manner it is very unacceptable truth. We can notice the plenty of videos and photos which went viral throughout the world in relating to accidents and other serious things and we could also even notice that the bystander behind them will be taking video for the likes in social media instead of helping out and here the humanity is getting destroyed totally. . While social media social media does provide the convenience to connect with others, one cannot fully neglect the need for physical and face-to-face interaction with other humans.


Again there is a census report which shows the fact that 88 percent of millennials get their news from social media. Just because you see the internet a lot or watching a lot of YouTube videos or shopping from online frequently or posting likes in social media does not mean that you are suffering from Internet Addiction Disorder. The trouble starts and actually arrives when these activities interfere with your daily life. Though social media can create amazing opportunities for people to connect, people’s high dependence on social media platforms can cause them to start unlearning their social skills.Nowadays people can live without even food and not even with the mobile phones or the Internet. When we use Internet in a right way we will be benefited in many ways but if we try to misuse it will change our entire life and messes up totally. So using the Internet for the sake of what we want is the best way to live a happy life
