Music lovers of different genres are in for a big surprise. The temple town of Tirupati will reverberate to the sound of music along with the chanting of hymns from the world renowned hill temple of Lord Balaji, (Tirumala) Goddess Padmavathi (Tiruchanoor) and Lord Govindaraja (Tirupati).
Ilayaraja, who strode the music world like a colossus, along with famous Telugu star Mohan Babu has decided to start a music university in Tirupati. Mohan Babu, founder of Srividyaniketan University, had expressed his desire to donate some lands to the music university.
Ilayaraja’s music university will mould and groom students who have a flair for music and channelise their potentials.
The music maestro offered worship along with Mohan Babu to the Lord of Seven Hills and sought his blessings for their new venture.
