The Mahasivarathri poojas at Chennai Om Sri Skandasramam that boasts of a beautiful idol of Lord Sri Mahasahasralingamurthy, begin at 7.30 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012.
The manahyasa puja will be followed by the first kala abhishekam for all the 18 shrines at 9 p.m. The second kala abhishekam is at 1.30 a.m., and third kala abhishekam, 3 a.m.
The fourth kala abhishekam at 5 a.m. for Lord Mahasahasralingamurthy, Sri Maha Nandi and Chakra Purna Maha Meru would be grand finale.
Lord Mahasahasralingamurthy will then give darshan being adorned with velli kavacha nagabharanam.
A note from ashram manager P Santhanam invites devotees to participate in the poojas and “receive the bountiful blessings of Lord Sri Mahasahasralingamurthy, Maha Nandi”.
