It is nearing that time again! We have yet another Shani Pradosham on August 7. ‘Pra’ stands for ‘remove’ and ‘dosham’ stands for ‘faults’ or ‘sins’. Even a normal Pradosham is good for removing bad karma. But Shani Pradosham is special because the cycle of Pradoshams started on a Saturday. That was the day when Lord Shiva drank the poison churned from the ocean and saved the world. It is like a journey back into time immemorial.
Be always aware that your thoughts and actions govern your karmas. Good karmas reap good rewards and bad karmas reap bad results. Remember that your karmas will follow you from life to life. Besides offering prayers to Lord Shiva and Nandi (Shiva’s vehicle) on August 7, also resolve to keep your karmas good. Always think thrice before doing or thinking anything.
