Pondy bandh passes off peacefully

Puducherry ,February 3^rd  : The dawn-to dusk bandh called by different trade unions in the union territory passed off peacefully.on February 2^nd.The bandh, organsied to press the government to order a judicial probe into the alleged lock-up death of a trade union leader in Yanam and demanding Rs 25 lakh solatium to his family, evoked partial response here.Meanwhile,CPI National Council Member Na Ra Kalainathan,   claimed the bandh to be a success and thanked all those who cooperated. He also clarified the bandh was for the cause of the workers and there was no political motive in it.
